Wendi Coker, NIC
Wendi has worked in the interpreting field for over 25 years and holds National Interpreter Certification (NIC) from the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf and Louisiana State Level IV Certificate. She has her diploma in Criminal Justice from Bossier Parish Community College. Her extensive interpreting experience encompasses a variety of settings including, medical, Legal, post-secondary education, and religious. She is currently the Executive Director at The Deaf Action Center in Shreveport, LA.
Wendi is an accomplished workshop and webcast presenter on a variety of subjects. She worked for the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s office for 8 years in a range of setting including, civil, patrol and detectives and is Post Certified in law enforcement. Wendi has worked in deaf ministry for over 17 years in an assortment of settings including interpreting and coordinating church services, mission trips, and Christian events and concerts.
