The Betty and Leonard Phillips Deaf Action Center (DAC) has been awarded two contracts through the Louisiana Commission for the Deaf, effective July 1, 2026.

Through these contracts, DAC will serve as the Regional Support Center for Louisiana Regions 6, 7, and 8 and provide Communication Access Services throughout those regions.

These contracts strengthen our ability to provide advocacy, communication access, care coordination, referrals, outreach, and support services to Deaf, DeafBlind, Hard of Hearing, and Late-Deafened individuals throughout North and Central Louisiana.

We are currently accepting applications for the following positions:

• Director of Regional Support Services (Full-Time) – Shreveport, Louisiana
• Regional Support Specialist – Region 6 (Part-Time) – Alexandria, Louisiana
• Regional Support Specialist – Region 8 (Part-Time) – Monroe, Louisiana

These positions will support accessibility services, communication access coordination, advocacy initiatives, community outreach, and regional support services for Deaf, DeafBlind, Hard of Hearing, and Late-Deafened individuals.
